Iraqi premier condoles Iranian gov't, nation over terrorist attacks

According to the Iraqi prime minister's bureau, Haider al-Abadi sent a message to President Hassan Rouhani.

Criminal thoughts and approach adopted by terrorists contradict the teachings of divine religions and humanity as they target innocent people, he said.

Expressing condolences to the Iranian people and government, he prayed for the immediate recovery of those injured in the terrorist attacks.

Two terrorist groups attacked mausoleum of the late Imam Khomenini in southern Tehran, and the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) on Wednesday morning, killing 17 people and injuring 52 others.

One of the attackers blew up himself outside Imam Khomeini shrine.
