Assad sympathizes with Rouhani over phone

President Assad said that Syria stands by Iran in combating terrorism and expressed solidarity with the Iranian people and government.

He added the fact that terrorists and their supporters use such hideous methods to demonstrate that their other methods against the Islamic Republic have failed.

President Assad also said that they are now using their proxies to gain the political changes they intend, but the final victory will be for Iran and Syria.

President Rouhani said that what happened in Tehran cannot affect Iranians’ will and Iranians became more determined to fight terrorism.

On Wednesday, two terror attacks happened in Tehran in which 17 people were killed and 52 wounded.

Daesh (the ISIS terrorist group) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
