Iran supports int'l summits in line with world peace

To a question concerning Putin-Trump meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany, Qasemi said in his weekly press conference that talks can always have positive effects “provided that they are held in a clear atmosphere and in line with world peace, friendship, and world security; thus we need to wait and hear further news on the meeting and its results.”

Commenting on Qatar issue Qasemi said, “The relations between Iran and its neighbors, including Qatar, are as before, and no new commercial agreements have been reached with Qatar.”

He added, “There are normal ties between Qatar and Iran, and we will continue the relations with Qatar as a neighbor, and there will be no obstacles on the way for commercial, economic and other relations.”

“Our goal is to expand collaborations and develop relations in the first place with our neighbors and then other countries,” Qasemi said.
