Iran, Polish media to boost cooperation

Noting that media play a leading role in connecting different nations, Khodadi called for expansion of IRNA-PAP cooperation aiming at introducing the two countries’ capacities in economical, industrial and agricultural arenas.

The IRNA chief referred to the existing peace and stability in Iran comparing other regional states and said that the May 19 presidential election was one of the examples of Iran’s stability and security.

He added that no problem has been made during many rounds of presidential campaign held by candidates or their supporters in Tehran and other cities.

Dmochowski, for his part, hailed expansion of ties with IRNA, adding that Warsaw and Tehran could reinforce their economic and political relations based on the authentic news covered in the two countries’ news agencies.

The PAP chief said since the new Silk Road which is to connect China in western Asia to Poland in Europe, is to pass through Iran, therefore, further media cooperation between the two countries news agencies would help boost bilateral economic and political relations between the two capitals.

Dmochowski said the 12th presidential elections in Iran is a “manifestation of a democratic elections in a healthy political system’.

At the end of his meeting with the IRNA chief, H Dmochowski also toured different sections of IRNA newsroom.

The Polish media delegation visited Iran upon an official invitation extended by IRNA to become familiar with the Iranian news agency capabilities.
