French FM visiting Iran for talks on Vienna deal

In its statement, the embassy said Jean-Marc Ayrault will during his two-day visit to Tehran on January 30-31 will also preside over the first Iran-France joint economic commission session.

It said the minister will also meet with President Hassan Rouhani and hold talks with his counterpart Mohammad-Javad Zarif.

Representatives from 60 French companies will accompany French foreign minister in the visit.

Ayrault may also propose cooperation in research, higher education and culture as well, the statement said.

It said that visiting French Foreign Minister, Jean-Marc Ayrault, will also discuss Iran's role in the region and crises in Syria, Yemen and Iraq.

He will underline that solution for all the conflicts is diplomacy and only diplomatic solution may restore peace and stability into the Middle East and bolster campaign against terrorism.
