Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali said that when the enemies feel Palestine and Quds are coming closer to liberation, they create further seditions and plots among the Muslim nations, as Takfiri terrorists are currently engaged in seditious acts in various regions.
Addressing a ceremony on Quds Day in Iran's Embassy in Beirut, he added that designation of the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramdan by the late founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini as International Quds Day has kept Palestine and Quds alive in Islamic Ummah's conscience to pave the way for liberation of the Holy al-Qods from the Zionist usurpers.
He further pointed out that Quds Day plays a crucial role in the fate of the Palestinian nation and it serves as a suitable opportunity for reinvigorating unity among the Islamic Ummah so that they will close their ranks in defense of the oppressed nation.
Fathali also said that Quds Day provides a chance for all Muslims and freedom-seeking nations to express their strong resolve to defend the Palestinian nation and remove the cancerous tumor.
He further pointed out that Imam Khomeini declared the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the Quds Day with the aim of forging unity among the Muslims and Arab nations so that they will unanimously express their backing to the Palestinian nation each year.
The envoy contended that Palestine and the other occupied nations will be freed only through Jihad and resistance, as the Lebanese Islamic resistance expelled the Zionist army from southern Lebanon.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of Lebanese parliament speaker and prime minister.
