One of the main achievements made by the government concerning the country’s free economic zones, has been drawing up a strategy document for development of such regions as well as creating seven new free economic zones, said Mohammad Moezzuddin, an official affiliated with Secretariat of the Free Zones Coordination Council Thursday evening during a ceremony on the Persian Gulf Island of Kish.
“In the post sanctions era and after the implementation of the nuclear deal, foreign investors are much more eager to engage in the projects in Iran’s free economic zones,” Moezzuddin said.
“We have offered foreign investors 90 potential projects all expected to be launched in the country’s free economic zones, he said.
“After the implementation of the nuclear deal, known also as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, we have successfully completed a major project in the Assaluye special economic zone,” he said.
The economic stability created after the JCPOA has provided us with an opportunity to complete many projects both in the public and private sectors, ha added.
