Iranian wrestlers bag colorful medals in Athens 2017

Due to Kazakh rival absence, Nokhodi in the weight category of 69 kg won the first match. He hit Armenian rival 5-4 and advanced to semi-final match.

During the semi-final stage, he was overpowered by his Azeri rival and advanced qualifiers. He managed to defeat the Japanese wrestler and grabbed a bronze medal.

After Colombian rival missing the game, Foroutan in the weight category of 85 kg won the match and he hit American wrestler 9-3 and advanced to quarter finals stage.

In the quarter finals, he defeated Kazakh fighter 11-0 and advanced to semi-final stage.

After hitting his India rival 12-3, he advanced final match during which he was defeated by Russian rival and snatched a silver medal.
