Iranian wrestler bags gold medal in Baku games

During the final match Nasiri in weight category of 65 kg overpowered Azeri rival 5-3 and ranked first, Deputy Head of Zanjan sport and Youths office Mohammad Hamzeh Pour told IRNA on Saturday.

In the first match Nasiri defeated Saudi Arabia 10-0 and then he hit Yemeni rival 10-0.

Iranian athlete defeated Kazakh wrestler 11-0 in semi-final match.

The 4th round of Islamic Solidarity Games is underway with the attendance of 54 countries in 22 sports fields. The games run until May 22 in the capital city of Azerbaijan.

Iranian squad consisting of 280 members has participated in 20 fields.
