Iranian mountaineer bags gold medal in 2017 Asian Cup

Head of Mahabad mountaineering committee Taher Pahnaie told IRNA on Monday that Iranian seventeen-year-old athlete stood on the first place in individual section.

“Iranian athletes received one gold and 2 bronze medals in the section,” he said.

South Korea and Japan ranked second and third in the individual men section, respectively.

In individual women section, Iran's Taraneh Rezaie received a bronze medal.

The event was held on March 11-12 in High 1 Resort Gangwon-do Province of South Korea.
