Iranian bodybuilder pockets bronze medal in Italy Olympia Amateur

“The event was held with the attendance of 142 athletes in nine weight categories,” head of Hamedan bodybuilding committee Morteza Khodabandelou told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday.

“Maskuk had also received two bronze medals in Tehran Diamond Cup and Hong Kong Mister Olympia Amateur.

Mr. Olympia Amateur is a prestigious international Open Contest, an amateur version of the famous Mr. Olympia Pro competition, started by the inspirational concept of bodybuilding pioneer and promoter Joe Weider in 1965. Besides traditional men’s bodybuilding, the amateur version will also include men’s classic bodybuilding, men’s physique as well as Figure.
