Iran wins first gold medal in Asian weightlifting championship

In the snatch competitions of 77 kg weight-class, Soltani by lifting 144 kg in snatch grabbed the gold medal. A weightlifter from host country Uzbekistan with 143 kg and another weightlifter from South Korea with 132 kg ranked second and third respectively.

Some eight young weightlifters are competing in Group A of 77 kg weight category.
