Iran, Hungary sign cooperation MoU on Persian manuscripts

With regards to the existence of 157 Persian manuscripts kept at the library of the Hungarian Science Academy and in order to prepare a index of the manuscripts for use by researchers, authors and those interested in manuscripts, the two sides signed the agreement.

The MoU was signed by the director of the library of the Hungarian Academy of Science and Deputy Head of the Institute of Political and International Studies affiliated to the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ahmad Haji Hosseini.

As per the agreement signed in the presence of Iranian Ambassador to Hungary Gholamali Rajabi Yazdi, the two sides agreed to prepare and publish the index of the existing manuscripts in both Persian and English languages.

The Persian manuscripts kept at the library are to be put on display in an exhibition in Budapest soon simultaneous with a one day seminar on Iranian cultural heritage and luminaries.
