Iran training school of weightlifting for world: IWF official

IWF representative and the president of the European Weightlifting Federation Antonio Urso made the remarks on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the second International Fajr Cup in Ahvaz.

He said the second round of the competitions is being held at a higher level compared with the first round.

He added that participation of 20 countries in the event signifies the high quality of the competitions.

“Iran is one of the main countries in weightlifting and Iranian athletes are internationally acclaimed,” Urso said.

The International Fajr Cup is underway in the city of Ahvaz.
