Iran sport minister due in Turkmenistan today

The Iranian squad, comprising 214 sportswomen and sportsmen, are partaking in the games which are set to officially start work on Sunday (Sep 17) in Ashgabat attended by 49 Asian countries and 24 teams from Pacific region.

The Iranian squad comprising 115 sportsmen and 66 sportswomen would compete in 20 sports fields.

In the previous edition of the competition which was held in South Korea last year, the 82-memebr Iranian squad ranked sixth and managed to snatch three gold, six silver and two bronze medals.
