President Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with Belgium's Parliament Speaker Siegfried Bracke in Tehran on Saturday.
During the international talks, the Islamic Republic of Iran and Group 5+1 (the US, Britain, France, China and Russia plus Germany) could sign a deal on a very important nuclear issue which was a significant achievement that should be regarded as an exemplary model in resolving complicated regional and global problems, President Rouhani said.
'We believe that the only body who can verify Iran's commitment to its pledges with regards to JCPOA is IAEA and we expect the other side to remain committed to its pledges within the accord,' he said.
Referring to various breaches of the US with regards to JCPOA, he said Tehran expects the European Union to fully implement the JCOPA and also give a decisive message to the US to remain committed to the JCPOA.
All should take advantage of the suitable situation created after implementation of the JCOPA to broaden ties and cooperation with EU and Belgium in particular, President Rouhani said.
There is no doubt that the two sides can make the most of their efforts in line with the interests of both sides' nations, the Iranian president said.
Terrorist operations in Tehran and Brussels indicate that the two counties have a common enemy which requires collective cooperation in dealing with, he said.
Belgium's Parliament Speaker, for his part, said Brussels will spare no efforts to persuade the EU to carry out all of its commitments.
Belgium is determined to broaden bilateral and multilateral relations between Iran and European Union, he said.
Presence of different parliamentary delegations from Belgium in Tehran in recent months indicate the extent to which Brussels minds expansion of relations and cooperation with Tehran mainly in commerce and trade, he said.
'The JCPOA is not only of prime importance for Iran, but also for Belgium and the European Union and we do our outmost for the EU to carry out all its commitments and pledges,' he said.
On improving banking relations between the two countries, he said improvement of banking relations will be beneficial to both sides and the existing problems should be resolved at the earliest.
The Islamic Republic of Iran plays a very significant political and strategic role in the region, he said, adding that cooperation with Tehran will be to the benefit of all countries who are fighting terrorism.
Belgium is among victims of terrorism and is determined to establish a very close cooperation with Tehran in the field, said Belgium parliament speaker.
