Zarif arrives in Bishkek in last leg of his central Asian tour

During his one-day trip to Bishkek, Zarif is expected to meet with the Kirgizstan President Almazbek Atambayev and the country’s Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev.

Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to attend a joint press conference and a lunch banquette with his Kirgiz counterpart and also to deliver a lecture at Iran-Kirgizstan economic forum.

Zarif at the end of his one-day visit to Georgia and holding talks with senior officials of the country departed Tbilisi for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on Tuesday evening.

Zarif arrived in Tbilisi on Monday evening and held talks with his Georgian counterpart Mikhail Janelidze on Tuesday morning.

During his one-day stay in Tbilisi, Zarif met and discussed issues of mutual interests with President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Gakharia.

Zarif has been visiting three countries of Turkmenistan, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of his counterparts and on occasion of the 25th independence anniversary of these three countries.

An economic and industrial delegation from both public and private sectors are accompanying the minister during this tour.
