Velayati: Europeans should endeavor to bring global peace, calmness

Valayati made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Vincenzo Amendola in Tehran on Wednesday.

Italy has always played a positive role in dealing with regional and global developments, he said.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is regarded as the most impressive country in the region and the globe and this leads to more affinity between the two countries, Velayati added.

He said that the fact is that the ongoing regional developments will leave the utmost impact on the global issues.

The Italian envoy, for his part, expressed his pleasure to meet Velayati, and said, 'Fortunately the two countries have had a very promising cooperation in various economic fields and prospects of such cooperation in the future will be very promising.'

Rome regards expansion of cooperation with Iran very positively, he said.

Welcoming expansion of cooperation between Iran and Italy on regional developments, the Italian envoy said Rome is fully ready to hear Iran's points of views to help proceed with common goals.
