Top Pakistani leaders, foreign diplomats pay tribute to late Ayat. Rafsanjani

Pakistan’s Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Syed Tariq Fatemi, Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, political leaders and foreign ambassadors and diplomats visited the Iranian embassy on Tuesday to write notes on praising the late Chairman of the Expediency Council and express condolences with the Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost, the representative of the Iranian government.

The visitors describing Ayatollah Rafsanjani as the pillar of Islamic world praised his important role in the success of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Pakistani leaders expressing their views said that late Ayatollah Rafsanjani played a key role as President of Iran to bring Iran and Pakistan closer to each other.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif expressed deep grief over demise of Ayatollah Rafsanjani and praised him as a symbol of reconciliatory peace efforts at the international level.
