Foreign Minister deputies in Vienna for JCPOA Joint Commission

The senior Iranian diplomats are to attend the sixth Joint Commission of the July 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and the world powers: the US, UK, France, China, Russia and Germany that is to be held in Vienna later in the day.

The meeting of the Joint Commission is to be held in Vienna to review the issues raised in the Dec 16 letter of the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to the EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

Zarif's letter came in reaction to efforts in the US to extend Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) which Iran sees as a breach of a nuclear deal it reached last year with six world powers including the United States.
