Thai deputy FM pays homage to Ayat. Hashemi on behalf of PM

The Thai diplomat signed the memorial book opened for the late Ayatollah Hashemi by the embassy. The book has so far been signed by diplomats from different states residing in Bangkok as a sign of tribute to the status of the late chairman of the Expediency Council.

Futrakulain also conveyed the Thai nation's condolences and sympathy over the demise of the late Ayatollah to the Iranian nation.

Bangkok-based diplomats from Russia, Colombia, the Philippines, North Korea, Australia, Cuba, Romania, Czech Republic, South Africa, UAE, Brunei, Qatar, Turkey, Malaysia, Cameron and Morocco have signed the memorial book and described Ayatollah Hashemi as an influential and prominent figure.

Ayatollah Hashemi died at the age of 82 due to a heart attack in a hospital in Tehran on January 8 and laid to rest in Imam Khomeini Mausoleum on January 10.
