Malaysian FM: Ayat. Rafsanjani demise really great loss

'I was sad to hear the news of Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani's demise and his sudden death is really a great loss for the Iranian people and government,' the message said.

'My colleagues and I expresse condolences to you and the Iranian nation on the sorrowful occasion,' he said.

Ayatollah Hashemi died at the age of 82 due to a heart attack in a hospital on Jan 8 and he was laid to rest in Imam Khomeini's Mausoleum on Jan 10.
