Tehran Security Council holds emergency meeting

An official with the Council Ali-Reza Mahdavi Shahroodi said that the meeting is held to examine the two incidents that happened in Tehran today.

In two separate attacks, seemingly coordinated, two groups of armed men opened fire to people, in Imam Khomeini’s Mausoleum, southern Tehran, and in Majlis (the Iranian parliament), central Tehran.

A few people are reported to have been killed and injured.
