Syria calls on int'l community to condemn Aleppo terror attack

The Syrian ministry in the letters called on the UN Secretary General and the president of the Security Council to condemn the terrorist attack on Al-Rashidieen. The ministry also urged the states who back the terrorist groups militarily and financially to stop the support, according to Syrian state news agency, SANA.

“In a heinous, criminal act which was planned to kill the largest number of children and women, terrorists detonated on Saturday a car bomb in an area that gathers buses and ambulances in Al-Rashideen region in West Aleppo to transport nearly 5,000 citizens from the terror-besieged towns of Kefraya and al-Foua ,” the Ministry said in the letters which were sent on Sunday.

It added the attack carried out on Saturday claimed the lives of more than 120 children and women and injured hundreds, and caused massive material damage to the cars and buses.

The ministry also affirmed that such criminal acts of the armed terrorist groups are aimed at impeding the implementation of the agreement to evacuate four surrounded Syrian cities, including Kefraya and al-Foua.

Reiterating the urgent need to unify the efforts of the international community to combat terrorism in full coordination with the Syrian government, the ministry concluded its letters by calling on the UN to make the state supporters of the terrorism carry out UN relevant resolutions.
