Suicide bomb attack kills 6 people in Baghdad

One of the security forces here opened fire on a car as he suspected it, then the suicide bomber blasted the car at once, Brigadier General Saad Maan said in a statement on Sunday.

Maan added two of the injured are among Iraq's Police and Army forces.

Soon after the explosion, the Iraqi forces cordoned off the area and transferred the wounded to the nearest medical centers, Maan said in his statement.

During the past week, east of Baghdad has been attacked by car bombs several times. Most of the people killed in these explosions have been civilians.
