Rouhani: Those seeking to kill JCPOA won’t be good caretakers for it

Talking to reporters after signing up for the upcoming presidential election on Friday, he added that the “rival wives' who had made their minds to kill the offspring, that's to say JCPOA, will not be good caretakers for it.

He further noted that those who made incessant efforts on the nuclear pact should tread the path up to the end.

'Fortunately, what I had promised to the people in 2013 that centrifuges should keep spinning to help keep economy's wheels turning has materialized and our economy is currently in a very good state compared to that of the years earlier thanks to the economic growth we had last year,' he said.

'I thank God that allowed me to put myself to the vote of the Iranian nation once again and I hereby announce I will shoulder the heavy burden of the country's executive responsibilities if the Iranian nation accepts it,' he said.

'In 2013, I announced the people that saving Iran's economy, reviving morality and constructive interaction with the world is important and today, I am very happy that major steps have been taken in the three arenas with the assistance of the people,' he said.

'In the field of saving economy, we have distanced from inflationary recession. Economic growth reached plus seven from minus seven and 40 percent inflation declined to seven percent in March,' Rouhani said.
