Presidential candidate urges people to vote for Rouhani

Speaking at a local ceremony in the southwestern province of Kohkilouyeh-Boyerahmad, Jahangiri said that the country needs a president that removes the shadow of war from Iran through strong diplomacy.

Referring to successful nuclear talks between Iran and G5+1(US, UK, France, Russia, China plus Germany), he added that the Rouhani government and its career diplomats conducted one of the most important political talks in the history.

The presidential candidate hailed Rouhani’s economic achievements and noted that the current government decreased the inflation rate and reinforced people purchasepower in his four years term in office.

“We need to become developed in order to accomplish a better life.”

The presidential candidate said that Iran is located in a volatile region in which terrorists and Takfiri groups are murdering people on a daily basis.

He pointed to anti-Iran remarks of war-mongers in the US, and said that the Iranian people will defend the country with their huge turnout in the forthcoming elections.

The people have not forgotten the economic turmoil existed in the country before the current government, Jahangiri added.

He underlined the importance of protecting country’s national solidarity and unity.

Ebrahim Raeisi, Custodian of Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine; First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri; former minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mostafa Mirsalim and former Minister of Physical Education Mostafa Hashemi Taba, as well as President Hassan Rouhani are the five candidates to run for presidency in the forthcoming presidential elections.
