Larijani: Iran stands with Syrians in resistance

Larijani said Syria is in the front line of resistance against terrorism and Zionism.
Larijani congratulated Syrian government, military and people on their victory in fight against terrorism and liberation of Aleppo and said the victories indicated resistance of people and military of Syria, which led to defeat of terrorists.
He said that political solution upon intra-Syrian talks is important and added that presence of Daesh and an-Nusra Front in Syria is contrary to peace and security in Syria and the region.
Given importance of peace talks, Larijani said the talks are important to reach sustainable security and stability in Syria and added that Iran, Russia and Syria may take important steps in this direction by planning and conformity.
Larijani called Astana meeting an important step towards achieving a sustainable peace and political solution for Syria.
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said that Aleppo victory was common victory of all of Syrians against terrorism and showed glory and capability of the resistance axis and its importance in fight against terrorism.
He appreciated Iran and Russia for their support for the Syrian government and nation in campaign against terrorism and underlined necessity for more coordination and cooperation in this concern.
Moallem said that in case of existing firm international intention for fight against terrorism, roots of terrorism in Syria will be dried within less than one year.
