University of Kurdestan has scientific cooperation with European universities

Fardin Akhlaqian told reporters on Sunday that University of Kurdestan is cooperating with five Iranian universities and three universities from Scotland, Spain and Austria in the great international project.

The project is titled 'Internationalization of Universities' and a budget of six million euros has been allocated for the purpose, he said.

Referring to conclusion of several memoranda of understanding with several foreign universities, Akhlaqian said, 'At present, we have educational cooperation with a university in Japan whose delegations have visited University of Kurdestan which will in turn dispatch teams to the country.'

The university has also communications with the universities of the Iraqi Kurdistan as well as universities of northern Iraq, he said.

Akhlaqian further noted that the main policy of Iran's higher education system is to move towards quality and it has undertaken effective measures in the field.
