Iran's Constitution not discriminate between followers of religions: Larijani

He made the remarks in a meeting with members of Parliament from the Christian, Assyrian and Armenian communities when he congratulated them on the new year.

'Like the other divine prophets, Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him) was messenger of peace and friendship and his justice-based doctrine should serve as guide for the people,' he said.

Followers of various religions in Iran are living together in fair treatment by Law, he noted.

Minorities lawmakers thanked Larijani for his congratulatory message on the new year.

They underlined the need for maintaining unity and consensus in the society under current juncture.
