Iranian, Afghan officials confer on issues of mutual interest

The meeting took place on the sidelines of an Iftar ceremony in the Iranian embassy in Kabul.

A number of heads of commissions of Afghanistan House of Representatives also attended the ceremony.

Iranian military attaché met with the Afghanistan's Chief of Army Staff General Qadam Shah Shahim and his deputy Morad Ali Morad and the two officials conferred improvement of security in the country.

The Iranian military attaché congratulated Eid al-Fitr to the top-ranking Afghan commanders and voiced hope for enhancement of unity among Islamic countries as a precondition to their progress.

Mahmoud-Reza Pour Mansour, an official of the Iran Anti-Narcotics Headquarters and Deputy Iranian Ambassador to Kabul Alireza Hajizadeh discussed promotion of Tehran-Kabul cooperation with the Afghan MPs on the sidelines of the ceremony.
