Iran, Turkey hold talks on issues of mutual interest

During the meeting both sides discussed developing political, cultural and economic relations.

They also held talks on multilateral regional cooperation especially on Syria and Iraq.

Rahimpour expressed hope for Astana talks to bring about peace in Syria and stability in the region.

Fortunately, Iran and Turkey have the same stances regarding regional issues especially maintaining territorial integrity and reinforcing solidarity among political groups in Iraq and Syria, he said.

Yalcin, on his part, also stressed that both countries have common views on fighting terrorism and maintaining territorial integrity.

Yalcin described as effective the cooperation between Iran, Turkey and Russia in reducing tensions and maintaining peace and stability in Syria and the region.
