Iran to continue backing fight against terrorism: Envoy

Danaeifar made the remarks on Thursday in a ceremony marking the 38th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran’s Embassy in the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

The Iranian envoy, underlining the need for collective cooperation, added that Iran will spare no effort to establish peace, brotherliness and sustainable security in the region and the world.

“Iran is proud of standing in the frontline of the campaign against terrorism in the region and world,” he said.

Today, the two great regional nations enjoy profound, extensive and diversified bilateral ties and these relations between Iran and Iraq are progressing based on the will of the high-ranking officials of the two nations, Danaeifar said.

He also reiterated that Iran will stand alongside Iraq as it did in the past.

The ceremony marking the 38th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution was attended by Baghdad-based diplomats, as well as the country’s outstanding political, military, cultural and academic figures.
