Armenian PM hails growing Tehran-Yerevan cooperation

Karapetyan made the remarks in a ceremony held at Iran’s Embassy in the Armenian capital Wednesday evening to mark the 38th victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Noting that boosting cooperation with Iran is a major priority for his country, the Armenian Prime Minister stressed the need for using all the potentials to promote bilateral ties in various fields between the two nations.

Iran’s Ambassador to Armenia Kazem Sajjadi, for his part, described Iran as a peace-seeking nation and the harbinger of friendship in the region and world.

Iran has always underlined the need for safeguarding security and stability through peaceful and friendly approaches, Sajjadi said.

The Iranian envoy also highlighted various capacities for cooperation between the two countries.

Present at the ceremony were also the Armenian Republic’s ministers of foreign affairs, transportation and information technology and economic development and investment.
