Iran, Russia against expansion of US missile power

In a meeting here on Tuesday, the visiting Iranian Foreign Ministry's Director General for Political Affairs and International Security Gholam-Hossein Dehqani and Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Mikhail Ulyanov also reviewed the ways for bolstering mutual cooperation.

The two sides also described expansion of US missile system without considering the security interests of other countries as 'unacceptable'.

Ulyanov underlined that Moscow and Tehran share the same stance regarding the settlement of key international security issues.

The Russian official reiterated that international issues should be settled in an atmosphere of mutual respect and through constructive dialogue.
