'The Salesman' hashtag turns top Twitter trend

The hashtag created on the Twitter for the Academy Award winning movie, soon became a top trend with many global figures following it.

'The Salesman' is the second film by Iranian director Asghar Farhadi to win an Oscar award and put him in the category of double-winners alongside with well-known world filmmakers.

Farhadi won Iran’s first Oscar for his film 'A Separation' in 2012.

What remains to be important about the #The Salesman is that some Twitter users, used the hashtag to post their creative cartoons to portray Farhadi’s Oscar award as a victory of an Iranian filmmaker over US President Donald Trump and his anti-migrant and anti-Muslim policies.

Some even go further to create their own version of the Oscar trophy to depict Farhadi’s image in the icon.
