Iran refers US seizure of assets to Int'l Court of Justice

He made the remarks in a breaking-fast meal ceremony with war veterans and families of martyrs.

On Tuesday, Iranian government has officially filed a complaint to the International Court of Justice for the seizure of about two billion dollars of assets belonged to Iran's Central Bank, President Rouhani said.

Iran has called on the International Court of Justice to condemn the US action and to force the Whitehouse to compensate for damages, he said.

The government will pursue the case until realization of Iran's rights, including the seized assets and the compensation for damages, Rouhani added.

Describing the American court order for seizure of Iranian assets as illegal, Rouhani said killing of US citizens in Lebanon is not related to Iran.

President Rouhani also praised defenders of the holy shrines and their families and said today our youth defends Muslims and the holy shrines against terrorist groups and they are not going to be reluctant towards criminal actions committed by them.
