Iran, Iraq to promote medical co-op

The meeting was attended on Wednesday by visiting Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mojtaba Khosrotaj and Iraqi Minister of Health Adeelah Humood.

The two agreed to establish a committee to follow up the activities of the medical companies.

Further in the meeting, Khosrotaj who visited Iraq on a day-long visit, elaborated on Iran’s capabilities in drug manufacturing, noting that 96 percent of the country’s needs to the pharmaceutical products are being supplied domestically.

The two sides reviewed the ituation of medical drugs in Iraq as well as the conditions of the presence of Iran’s pharmaceutical companies in that country.
