Speaking to IRNA here on Tuesday, Torkaman elaborated on his recent three-day visit to Tbilisi.
Referring to his separate meetings with senior Georgian officials, Torkaman said Georgia is willing to widen relations with Iran in the areas of culture and art.
He added that the two sides stressed the importance of signing a cultural memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand cooperation in that field.
Also, as he noted, the two countries’ officials underlined the importance of boosting religious, university and scientific cooperation.
At the end, Torkaman expressed hope that Iran and Georgia will soon witness broadening of relations in all fields, cultural issues in particular.
