Indonesian religious organization calls for cultural exchange with Iran

Muhammadiyah Organization is interested in exchange of ideas with Iranian academic centers and religious organizations, Dr. Abdul Moaty said in a meeting with visiting Iranian delegations headed by Chancellor of University of Islamic Denomination (Madhaheb University) Mohammed Hossein Mokhtari.

He said that the Iranian religious scholars have good ideas in country administration.

During the meeting, the chancellor of University of Islamic Denomination referred to presence of followers of various Islamic religions in his university and said the university is ready to transfer its experience to similar organizations in other countries.

Muhammadiyah is a major non-governmental Islamic organization in Indonesia. The organization was founded in 1912.
