The oppressive regime has imposed restrictions on travel for treatment purposes and three aggressive wars between 2008 and 2014 on the narrow strip, creating a dangerous and grave situation there, according to IRNA reporter in Gaza.
Israel doesn’t let %53 of the patients – mostly women and children – leave the strip for treatment based on lame excuses. The huge number of the patients is testimony to the deplorable situation that Gaza Strip residents are wrestling with.
According to Amjad al-Shawa, the director of the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network, Palestinian patients in Gaza Strip face harsh conditions and the Zionists prevent them from leaving for the West Bank and the 1948 Occupied Lands by enforcing strict laws.
Referring to the destruction of a large part of medical equipment or its inefficiency caused by the 3 imposed wars by the Zionists, he added that the patients are, as well, suffering from acute medical problems due to power cuts.
Aed Yaghi, the director of Palestinian Medical Relief Society told IRNA that the restriction imposed by Israel has had many negative effects on patients’ recovery, especially kids.
Yaghi referred to the fact that the Qods occupying regime throws a monkey wrench into the travel plans of Palestinians anyway they can, including Jewish ceremonies. He added that having proper educational and medical service is a fundamental right of any person, however, Palestinians are deprived of these basic rights of theirs and no one seems to take any notice.
Last week, on the occasion of the World Health Day, the Gaza Strip residents protested against the continuation of siege in front of the UNESCO Office in the Occupied Territories and wanted the world community to do their duty to put an end to the occupation of this area.
An approximate number of two million people live in Gaza Strip in pain and sorrow, but the so-called advocates of human rights have turned a deaf ear to their agonized cry for help, which may lead to deterioration of the situation in Gaza.
