Enemies by waging a psychological war and inducing dissatisfaction in society are making efforts to cause division in the society, Brigadier General Amir Hatami said at a meeting held in Tehran with senior official at his ministry.
Events happened in the past four decades after the 1979 Islamic Revolution have proved that the Islamic Republic could defeat enemies, the minister said, stressing that the Islamic Iran, today, is more powerful than before.
Enemies want to show the system's weaknesses and focus on the economic war while the Islamic system's growing move still continues, the defense minister noted.
'Sanctions cannot stop the Islamic Republic of Iran,' the minister said, adding that the bans and economic threats are opportunities for the country.
He further stressed the need to adopt strategic policies and preserve unity in order to foil the enemies' plots.
