Croatia hails Iran in fight against terrorism

He made the remarks in a meeting with head of Iran-Croatia parliamentary friendship group Hamid Reza Fooladgar.

Referring to the geographical location of the two countries in strategic and sensitive regions, Bakota said Iran and Croatia can be good partners in confrontation against violence and extremism.

Fooladgar pointed to Iran's commitment to joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and said that several reports by international sources have underlined Iran's commitment to JCPOA.

He said that Iran is a victim of terrorism and added that Iran's principle policy is to fight terrorism and strengthening, consolidating stability in the region.

The MP criticized dual behaviors regarding Iran in human rights and said that in spite of free election and freedom of religious minorities in Iran; still it is falsely charged with human rights violations.

He underlined cultural, historical commonalties between the two countries, and expressed pleasure for the growing trend of bilateral relations, and said expansion of parliamentary cooperation will play important role in this concern.
