Boroujerdi: US policies in Syria are doomed to failure

Boroujerdi made the remarks in a meeting with Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani on Monday.

Referring to the current situation in Syria and freedom of thousands of civilian in Fua'a and Kafraya who were under the siege of terrorists for years, he said that it was very complicated in terms of politics and military.

'Terrorists shed blood of hundreds of children, women and civilians in these two Shiite cities, but liberation of the cities should be regarded as a great political and military move,' Boroujerdi said.

He praised the significant role of martyrs of in defending holy shrines, and said Syria was the first levee for Resistance and in case of its fall Lebanon and Iraq had fallen which threatened the security of the Iranian borders.

Saudi Arabia winning the US supports spent huge amount of money in Yemen resulting to carnage of over 13,000 civilians, but the impacts of their defeat in Yemen is quite evident, he said.

'Despite various threats imposed by the US and other enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, we are now witnessing sustainable security under the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution,' Boroujerdi said.

He underscored that not only in the region, but also in the world is so powerful that no country dares to mind attacking the country.
