Blind terrorism not to affect Iran tourism industry: Official

The country’s tourism industry is on the fast track and it will go down the path of development with even higher speed, Morteza Rahmani Movahed said on Saturday.

Rahmani Movahed, referring to the July 7 twin terrorist attacks on the Iranian parliament and Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, said that the terrorists were following to achieve political ends.

“It was an attempt by the terrorists to show off,” he said.

“Iran’s thriving tourism industry is not going to be affected by such attacks,” he added.

Rahmani Movahed then went on to praise Iran’s permanent security and said that the safety and security both Iranian and foreign tourists find in Iran is the result of the sacrifice made by the country’s military and police forces.

Thanks to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s security, the official said, so far there have been no reports suggesting any interruptions in the foreign tourists’ safe travel and stay in the Islamic Republic.
