Blast kills 9, injures several in Pakistan's Quetta

Police said that explosion was result of a planted device installed in a car. The bomb exploded while police was checking the cars.

The rescue work was underway while the affected have been moved to the nearby hospitals.

Important government offices are located in the area where the explosion took place. No group has so far claimed responsibility of the attack.

The terrorist attack has occurred jus 2 days before Eid-ul-Fitr. Extra security measures were already in place in the provincial capital, which has witnessed several attacks in the past.
