Zangeneh: Oil ministry to spend rls 80,000b on rural area gas projects

The minister made the remarks here on Monday when addressing a gathering to celebrate 50th establishment ceremony of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

He said that 300 million cubic meters of gas per day will be added to country’s gas production upon the implementation of South Pars phases.

He also said that Iran is planning of export of 200 million cubic meters of gas.

President Hassan Rouhani also took part in the event.

National Iranian Gas Company was established in 1965.

Today's session served to outline capabilities of gas industry in the international and national arenas and the important role it has played in national economy. The role of gas in improving the environment and lifestyle in Iran during the past 50 years is also to be examined.

Speakers reviewe the role of gas in saving money in line with implementation of development and investment projects.

A number of country's senior gas and oil officials are present in today's meeting.
