After a meeting with the Head of Expediency Council’s Center for Strategic Research Ali Akbar Velayati on Tuesday, Abdul-Mahdi congratulated the 38th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and hailed joint implementation of oil and gas projects by the two countries.

Describing the level of activities of the two countries’ companies as 'desirable', he said that signing memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on joint oilfields will help promote economic relations.

Abdul-Mahdi also called for using Iran’s experience in the oil and gas sectors to devise plans for Iraq’s future.
