Rouhani: Huge rise in gas production by yearend

President Rouhani made the announcement here Monday at a ceremony on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of foundation of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

As the phases 18, 19, 20 and 21 of the South Pars gas field come on stream, the country will produce daily 140 million cubic meters of gas more than the present amount, the President said in his address to the ceremony.

Rouhani further stressed importance of making use of the post-JCPOA conditions.

Iran and six world powers reached a nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPAO) on July 14, 2015.

President Rouhani said the post-JCPOA should focus on use of modern technologies.
