The institute also said that Lombardy's exports value to Iran have surpassed 266 million euro in the first six months of 2016, up by 27 percent compared to the figure for the same period last year.
Lombardy ranks first in terms of exports to Iran, constituting 40.2 percent of Italy's total exports to Iran with machinery making up 53.4 percent of the region's exports to the country, most of which is made from Milan.
An Italian delegation, comprising 25 companies from Lombardy Region busy in such professions as farming, irrigation systems, water desalination installations, petrochemical, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, energy, designing, furniture, industrial equipment, auto-making, water and waste water, trash recycling, cosmetics and infrastructural constituents are scheduled to arrive in Iran on November 12 to forge interaction with 200 Iranian companies.
